Family and Personal Background:

Born and raised in Chicago. Weekends were spent at Wrigley Field rooting for the Cubs in the left field bleechers.
Lived in Vienna, Austria for many years working with the United Nations, including two Peacekeeping Missions in Angola
and Cambodia. Mastered at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA then moved to Miami Beach,
Florida where I currently reside. My position at the University of Miami Transplant Center exposed me to transplantation
and the importance of organ donation.

Athletic Background:
|
|
I have been athletic since childhood. I spent years as a marathoner; my best time is 3:07. I invested 3 years in triathlon,
excelling in the ½ Ironman and Ironman. My interest in cycling resulted from triathlon. In 2006 I rode Boston-Montreal-Boston,
finishing in sub-65 hours and qualifying for solo RAAM. BMB sparked my interest in RAAM 2007.

Why are you involved in Team Donate Life?
|
|
The editor of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) introduced me to Kent and Team Donate Life. Kent and I are
riding in a two-person mixed team "Beauty and the Beast" under the Transplant Foundation banner for whom I am raising
money in Miami, and the Team Donate Life banner to raise awareness of organ donation/transplantation as we Race Across
AMerica.
