Team Donate Life was founded by health care providers, organ donors and organ recipients who were committed to sharing the miracle of life that is offered through organ donation. Race Across America was a great forum to encourage people to register as an organ donor and raise much needed funds for educational programs and transplant research. Our bicycle racing teams cover a distance of 3043 miles, from Oceanside, CA to Atlantic City, NJ, riding 24 hours a day.

In 2007, our six teams will ride a total of 18,000 miles, use up 2,500 vacation hours, climb 700,000 feet in elevation and sacrifice 2,000 hours of sleep. Why? We believe the rigors of our cyclists pale in comparison to the the journey of close to 100,000 people waiting for an organ transplant. More than 1/3 of them will die before a suitable donor can be found. Another name is added to the waiting list every 15 minutes. Each of our cyclists will ride in honor of an individual waiting for an organ transplant.

You don't have to climb in the saddle and cycle across America to be involved. There is a place for everyone - serve as a crew member, volunteer in our education and awareness programs, make a financial contribution or become part or our cycling community, Club TDL. Whatever level of involvement you choose, your support will help Team Donate Life in our campaign to encourage 40,000,000 Americans to register as an organ donor.
