Several months ago I received an email from Bobby with the link to Connors blog (www.connorsjourney.com). Connor has a genetic liver disease and will require a transplant in the next few years. What a great attitude Connor has, with a drive and zest for life many people never find! His parents, Jared and Tiffany, are an inspiration as well, as they raise their family and bring awareness to those around them about liver disease.
When Jared asked Bobby to help with the team this year, Bobby's available time was very limited. Bobby has ridden in 3 different Team RAAM's and he rode with Jared on Team Donate Life last year. But this race is different. The focus is on Connor and helping him to bring America's attention to the cause of organ donation by being the youngest person to ever cross the finish line of Race Across America. After he talked to me about the call, all I could think of was what a great opportunity to help a young man accomplish something incredible!
We're so excited to be involved in this process - to be able to raise money for organ donation and to help Connor make his dream a reality.
