Family and Personal Background:

Grew up on a small farm in Pleasant Grove with 5 younger sisters and 1 older brother and lots of animals, cows, sheep, pigs, etc. A member of 4-H becoming an All-Star and representing 4-H on trips to Washington DC and a homestay in Japan.
Married with 4 chldren (2 girls, 2 boys) live on a farm in Clarksburg where we currently grow alfalfa and raise kids.

Athletic Background:

In high school played basketball, volleyball. Played on a few fun volleyball, and softball teams throughout the years. Took up running after my first child 16 years ago and have run in various 5ks and 1/2 marathons over the years. Have participated in a few organized bike rides riding my first century about 3 years ago and have done a few sprint triathlons for fun. Love to waterski and have a goal to ski a course. Exercise for fun and because it keeps me fit and healthy to participate in my children's activities.

Why are you involved in Team Donate Life?

Feel it is a good cause. My mother died 7 years ago from a lung disease. It was our hope that she may have gotten a transplant; however, due to the nature of her illness, she was not a good candidate to receive such a gift. I would like to help facilitate getting the word out about transplants so others' loved ones may have such a gift.
