Hey everyone! It is about 93 degrees in Missouri. Today is Wednesday at about 1:30 p.m. central time. I'm about to get back on the bike. I'm running on about 4 hours a day sleep, but no complaints. Thanks everyone for your messages, they really keep me going. Love ya all. Denny

Had a message from Denny @ 9 PM PST from "somewhere in Kansas". Dennis reports that the temp is 85 degrees and it's "absolutely beautiful cycling weather with a light breeze" and so nice to have flat pedaling. The team is spinning along at 20 mph leaving the long climbs of CO and NM in the rear view mirror. He feels good (sounded very upbeat) and has worked through a "lung issue" that was bothering him yesterday. The team passed thru the Pratt, KS TS just after 9 Central time and their average pace is creeping back up to 20 mph. The 4th place team is aprox. 2:45 behind, and TDL Give Hope is 110 miles up the road in 3rd. Go Team Donate Life x2!!!

Just spoke with Dennis as the team was preparing for their next transition with the BIG climbs ahead as they go over the Rockies and earn some welcome descents through several time stations. Dennis mentioned they don't have internet access from the RV at the moment and as a result he has not been able to put up some posts. But your posts are being relayed to the Liverator riders and crew and are much appreciated!

Dennis mentioned that Geoff, though banged up and with a liberal road rash, is riding like he's possessed (must be that New England Puratanical work ethic--take it from one who grew up in Mass.). With all his perseverance thru adversity, Dennis reports the team has a couple of nicknames for Geoff--but you'll have to ask him about those! Dennis logged 5 hours of sleep last night, his longest so far and feels much better as a result. He reports that everyone is feeling good and despite the lack of sleep, the crew is doing a phenomenal job. It's a challenge at this point to get enough nutrition down with all the energy they are expending. Eating becomes more of a chore than a pleasure. Dennis sounded good and his usual quips were ever present in the conversation. Go Liverators!

We depart tomorrow at 5am for Oceanside. After months of training, visualizing, and worrying it's finally time to get it going! Thanks to everyone (you all know I'm talking about you!) that supported me in this crazy endeavor. I could not do this without you.
